Overall it's a decent external drive even with the racket it makes! Had two western digital drives. Restored my backup to this drive and copied the other one over.

Cons

This of course is totally unsatisfactory. This company is keen to sell their product but when things go wrong, (even from brand new) they just don't care. Not a happy bunny.

Even if the drive is idle, it will start making noises. A metalic clicking noise could be heard. It is not robust enough for the application and suffers from wobble.

Sometimes the drive seems to stall for about a couple of minutes when transferring large chunks of data to it. Took over 24 hours to transfer my other data on to it and then crashed at 99% complete. Sending it anywhere with all my data is not really a... Read More
