I picked up a wd black sn750 and had issues with its firmware capping write speeds at 13 of design on my test pc which has never had this issue with any other product

I later confirmed it would scale to full 3gbsec writes on a different pc but dont trust you will be able to achieve the rated speeds on that product which is what you are paying the premium for

The sn750 se same phison controller design as this but a cheap dramless version did not have the firmware bug performance cap and outperformed the sn750 when the write speed cap was happening

It is a safer and better value choice unless wd fixes their firmware problems
