Pros

Once you get it installed, it's as seamless as you can get. Just safely remove the outer cover and memory bay cover and ensure it's correctly * into the slot.

Endurance and reliability is the most important metric for judging storage. I personally use all 2 tb (and need more now, lol), but if you don't have a ton of games installed the 500 gb or 1 tb models will be fine for you.

It's worth it, and so far, it's been flawless. Oceanside store for your excellent service and would definitely purchase products from you again. Awesome performance, great ssd.

Seagate drives run about 20° cooler than the wd. Sabrent rocket q4 has decent temps, a bit above the 980 pro. Sk hynix p31 and p41 have temps that are at least as good as the980 pro.

Cons

Used in ps5) was playing games, shut off system. It turns the playstation off and crashed the system several times while in a game. Console goes off, powered on and i get an error stating that ssd was not attached.

Seagate's products are unreliable, and their tech support is even worse! Genuinely believe there should be a mass lawsuit against seagate for not honoring their warranty claims.

I finally upgraded to this ssd and have been very pleased with the product.

I love this drive, it is a true 4tb drive and is plug and play with the ps5.

If you're unsure which to buy for the ps5.

The spacer is on the screw just for this purpose to keep the drive from being flush with the compartment.

Packaging/appearance

Screws in perfectly to fit into the ps5.

It was totally my fault as i didn’t have the spacer installed properly thereby causing the firecuda to not be seated correctly in the ps5.

Amazing easy to install perfect for ps5 users

I had a 4tb that lasted a little over 10yrs of running non stop.

Their software is not up to their competition (samsung), but you can use their software with anyone else's ssd drives.
