Pros

Price tag is hefty on this ssd, but the performance is definitely top end. Well packaged and a 500gb m. Drive.

Cons

The speed is not as advertised and apparently these things die quickly. Supposedly my warranty is good until 2025 but ha, seagate is following in the steps of asus in terms of making customer service the poorest a company can make it.

Device manager shows that one of the controllers was malfunctioning. Tried all troubleshooting and reformatting nothing solved issue. It turns the playstation off and crashed the system several times while in a game.

Went to store. Went online to file a claim. Seems the return is a headache. To late to return with amazon.

Easy to install and my ps5 detect it without any problems, very good read and write speeds.

I was able to get the backups off the 6tb drive before it stopped working in the wd case.

I have never had any ssd or microsd actually come close to the stated speeds.

Best value and performance you could ask for.

It was pricey, but it’s worth it.

The ssd came quickly and works perfectly with my ps5.

Arrived on time and in good shape.

Only thing was it took forever to ship.

Competitiveness

There are hundreds of ssd brands out there, but most i wouldn't trust my temp files to, least of all my pictures, game files, music & more.

I see no performance difference between this ssd and the ps5 storage.
