Seagate drives are defective. Occasionally stays on after computer shuts down. To add to the misery of this product, sending it back for a warranty claim is the most ridiculous experience i have ever had with any product.

Maybe the new ones are better, but this model you should be wary of. Do not recommend.

Drive is sturdy in the hand and doesn't creak if you squeeze too hard, and yes i have dropped it a couple times with no problems.
Worked as it should, never failed, was a good hd until i outgrew it

With a lot of growing reviews of seagate drives failing i was of course worried that this was going to happen to me

But in over ten years of buying about seven seagate products i have never fingers crossed had a drive failure
