Pros & Cons
Pros
The 4tb is the sweet spot. The intention is to build a synology nas exposed securely over apps for family memories. Crm style drive with traditional memory cells instead of shingled cells (just know that shingled media is slow) great for individual fi... Read More

Highlights
Quality
I am very happy with the price and the performance.
Overall, i'm super happy with the cost-per-terabyte and performance.
Just stick with the standard software raid 5 capability built into windows.
I should mention i got the 10tb version; not the 12tb.
Price
The price was a little more than a standard hard drive.
Yes solid state drives are faster, but they also will cost you more money.
Shipping
Works really well on my server and it is pretty fast.
Competitiveness
I use these in a synology ds418 four-drive unit.
I bought this drive several months ago to replace an aging 5tb toshiba and 4tb seagate drive in my alienware machine.
Looking at the prices for a 4tb ssd, i decided to go with a much cheaper hdd.
)it spins quietly, but the read/write/seek is a little loud, in a clicky way.
