Highlights
Quality
I've been using wd red drives in my nas for a while, but went with the seagates in a new nas due to a significant price difference.
I am very pleased with my purchase.
Just stick with the standard software raid 5 capability built into windows.
Please note that the ironwolf line of seagate drives are designed for professional use in data center servers.
Price
In my experience, very reliable and the lowest price out there.
The price was a little more than a standard hard drive.
Shipping
They aren't as fast, but they make up for it in reliability.
Works really well on my server and it is pretty fast.
Packaging/appearance
Less waste, and easy to handle packaging is a nice treat.
Packaging easy to open and five were installed in a brand new synology 1522+ 5 bay nas configured in raid 5 for 62.
Competitiveness
I use these in a synology ds418 four-drive unit.
So far after 3 weeks, i bought 5 of these and used them in a synology 1520 and love it so far
An enterprise nvme drive has an expected life of 6 months in a nas raid.
I purchased them for a synology upgrade, they are noisier in the box tham my older drives, but they are twice the storage.

As an aside if youre building a windows server dont use the modern microsoft storage services with disk pooling

Parity pools dont behave like a standard software raid 5 making it harder to expand your raid later
