The new disk arrived as promised and works perfectly - albeit after another lengthy volume rebuild.
Packaging/appearance
Came well packaged for a hard drive which is what you would expect, fast delivery, worked out the box, no issues
Always unsure to buy mechanical drives from amazon in case they are not well packaged.
As shown in the picture the box says st4000vnz06 contains st4000vn006.

Competitiveness
Previously i used western digital red drives, and changed to these for a capacity upgrade.
The "amazon exclusive" st4000vnz06 is exactly the same as the seagate ironwolf st4000vn006.
I've had trouble with another brand that i will never buy again.

Lost a drive in a laboratory network area storage nas device and bought a few of these to replace the raid array before i lost any of the data

I noticed almost straight away that these were significantly quieter when the nas was idle than it was previously

They are perfect for what i use them for but i dont shunt large video media files or machine images to or from the nas that these drives are attached to so cant comment too much on speed tests

Yes it is a tiny bit slower but as the processor is only an i74790 its hardly noticeable

I give the product 5 stars but as a word of warning but to also compliment customer services on how they handled thisi bought this as a warehouse deal and the drive came in a single layer of bubble wrap in a small thin jiffy bag

Due to this i was concerned about any damage during delivery as this was no adequate at all

I was told that if i wanted to i could return it but if i was happy they would make a note and if anything goes wrong in the future they would be aware
