Pros

These drives are much faster than my old wd green drives. They are louder than your standard 5400rpm deep storage desktop hdd.

These platter drives are considerably less expensive than solid-state drives with comparable capacity, but also a fair bit slower and noisier. Nothing major, but definitely getting some bad blocks.

Cons

Replacement drive only lasted 3 months before crashing. Customer support is terrible. No warranty from amazon or seagate.

Daily use and seem to be reliable so far.

About 20 hours to rebuilt the raid array - and all is good.

Slightly quieter is relative though all ironwolf drives have very loud seek noise relative to desktop or laptop drives.

Seagate hardive never fails, no complaints only praises

None the less, no problems and fast (and slightly cheaper than wd).

For price and quality it’s not terrible for the money but i wish they lasted longer.

This drive was slightly cheaper and slightly quieter than the 8tb.

Shipping

The 24tb hard drives arrived promptly, were packaged appropriately, and appear to be working properly in the synology nas system.
