Pros
Long warrantee is a bonus and inspires confidence. I can confirm that my disk is silent in use & is actually quieter than the wd disk it replaced.

Serious drive, left on all the time with no issues at all
I have 4 of these drives is a synology ds918+ nas, they have proved to be reliable.
My 2tb western digital red drive started having issues in my synology diskstation after running constantly for the last 11 years.
Raid rebuild was twice as fast on these as my old wd blue drives, and the mean to me between failures is through the roof.
Price
Price per tb and data resilience is what makes them a good option :)

These are 7200rpm and the wd ones were 5400rpm, plus these have more cache.
If i had to buy more drives like this i would buy these over other similar brands and/or models.
I have considered going with seagate exos brand but finally chose iron wolf pro brand as it has the same reliability mtbf 2.

I bought 2 of the 18tb pro models to replace two 6tb wd drives in my nas wanting to go as big as i could afford so i can add another two later

They are fairly loud if comparing against desktop hard drives

Not insanely loud but louder than your standard 5400rpm deep storage desktop hdd

The fact that they are enterprise level nas drives should be all the warning that is needed on that front
