Pros & Cons
Pros
The noise difference is noticeable compared to the normal desktop drives we used to have. Performance is good, temperatures remain low, they are quiet and the setup is currently stable.
First time in using 8tb drives. I have a 2tb ironwolf nas running and it's qt 55k hours still with no bad sector's. I cannot tell you if it will outlast the 'cheaper' seagate's i have. They are fantastic, they take all the data i need them too from ga... Read More
Hot slotted into the synology nas and span up. Drives in stalled in synologynas and passing all tests, working well.
Seagate is like the whippet of mechanical drives - nippy and willing.
Cons
Seagate's new nas is too noisy even for a cupboard. Straight into nas drive but dead with critical error. That is not what a 3 year drive warranty should look like.

If your planning on holding important data on the drive just a heads up that its best to buy 2 and do a clone of each other although seagate offer a data recovery guarantee with this i still wouldnt want to put anything to chance

Difficult to write a review for a nas hard drive when the main measure of success is its longevity

But i now realise that when one raid 1 drive fails the other raid 1 drive has a much higher likelihood of failure because of increased rate of readwrites and constant attempts to restore damaged data
