Pros

Removing the old hard drive and installing this one is as simply as a few screws. Works perfectly now with zero issues. This memory is for my son’s new acer laptop. Crystaldiskcheck shows this is new drive.

Cons

Less than thrilled with the obviously not new hdd's. I bought this hard drive 1115/2017 & installed it in my laptop and it did not work.

Quite a disappointment. It is useless. Who sells it is irrelevant to me.

The drive has grey adhesive stuck to the sides as if something had been attached and removed such as the insulation or shielding. The connector fingers have scratches which indicate they were previously plugged into a connector. All data is lost.

Price

Easy to slip in or inexpensive to get a pro to do it.

Plus i can easily run a straight clone any time i want to backup and it copies flawlessly in a $25 cloner.

In conclusion, sometimes it's a pleasant surprise what $12 can get you!

It was well worth the money spent.

Shipping

The shipping was really fast and it was very well packaged.

Arrived as expected, installed easily, working well 1 week later.

It came in a decent amount of time.

I think they undated the delivery two times with improved delivery dates.

Packaging/appearance

Only issue is amazon put 3 small drives in a big box with no packing.

It doesn't come in its original wrapper, but i checked it with cristaldiskinf and i think it was new.

Competitiveness

The product worked very well as expectedwill buy from this seller again.

I also have one as a backup drive for my ps3, which normally runs a more expensive old seagate sshd.

If you are looking for a deal, do yourself a favor, just get this one and skip all those "oem new and refurbished" drives.
