I reviewed the 4tb model 4bay nas which comes with 2x 2tb seagate nas drives preinstalled

In the 4tb version since only 2 of the 4 bays are occupied the seagate nass simplyraid system defaults to raid 1 which only grants 2tb of usable space

It should be said that this seagate nas is small business and workgroup focused so while it supports a large number of protocols and backup types such as smb cifs iscsi and webdav just to name a few it doesnt have the same number of multimedia focused applications or the quick connect remoteaccess infrastructure as compared to a synology home product
