For the basic network storage so far i find this device performs superbly and meets all my expectations.

Easy to set up and works perfectly.

I had previous seagate central and worked flawlessly for 4 years and one day crashed.

About a year ago, it stopped communicating and indicated one of the storage drives went bad.

As an inexpensive external hard drive or backup i am sure it performs adequately.

All in all pretty damn good for the price!

The seagate storage device offers great storage, especially for the price, but the dashboard software refuses to load onto my desktop.

It doesn't work with the vpn i use, that is more of an issue with the vpn than the app.

I was looking for newer option, thought lets change, i bought this because it was cheaper than competitors.

It offers other "apps" but if you are buying this for storage and accessing files it is one of the best options.
