Pros & Cons
Pros
Seagate is a superb brand from external drives. It's easy to instal, just plug in, connect to your laptop/computer and away ya go. Easy to use - drag and drop and accepts and stores big big files quickly.
Although slightly slower when spinning up the drive performs well. The 1tb is more than sufficient for most domestic, non-techy users.
Cons
There's a continual thunk thunk noise as the heads seek. Slow and clunky. Generic cardboard packagiinh.
It says its compatible for pc and mac but its not. It says that it can reformat and you can upload contents from the storage device once you format it with a mac but when i connected it, my mac (which is a brand new macbook air m1 2020) recognised the... Read More

Shipping
This arrived quickly and was well packaged.
Received the next day, bought on reveiws left.
Packaging/appearance
Guess what it came on no amazon packaging .
I did select amazon packaging due to the nature of the item even checked with on line help who confirmed it had been added.
Competitiveness
This is the second of the same drive and capacity from seagate and would recommend it to anyone looking for an external drive.
They did say that i could return and ask for a similar replacement but that would probably have been with dropbox as well - i h... Read More
However, the apacer feels more solid and reliable in hand, unlike the seagate, which feels more toy-like.
I will have to put it down to experience and perhaps consider using a high street shop for similar offers in the future.
