Pros
Usb spec. Is not supper fast but is good. Durability is second to none. Only downside is it’s a bit slow but for the money it's not much of a downside.

Both drives were locked in read only mode and show they were already formatted using windows ntfs. They are supposedly compatible with the version of mac os i'm currently using and say they don't require formatted for mac or windows os. Looks like som... Read More
Seagate says they hold your data for 30 days. While amazon talks on this product page about their 30 day warranty, this website only says to check the manufacturer's website for warranty information. Do not purchase any seagate products.
Everything i have ever had with their brand fails prematurely. Bad advertising. Failing after 4 months.

I use this as a back up drive 99% of the time, for this use case it works great for the price.
This is what i wanted and am happy to have - a great little external hard drive that works just as it should at an excellent price.
Good price on a 5t external hard drive!
These new affordable laptops are with minimal internal storage and includes an external 256gb drive or less.

I used to buy lower memories of seagate this time i purchased 14 tb pricewise is more economical that higher tb.
Both la cie and wd externa drives have failed but never a seagate.

I miss read the capabilities of this storage expansion i have a ps5 and it only holds games for the ps4 but it let me play 7 of my ps4 games while keeping my ps5 games

Id rather have my important data backed up locally and also be able to disconnect the medium from any computing systems
