Pros

Well packaged and protected for shipment. Shipped and received promptly.

Good value on a 4tb hd. Installed seagate 4tb now records 12 days. New btrfs file system contains so many safeguards.

The playback speed on this drive is flawless. I run the equipment in a rack and when i am near it, i never hear any disk noise coming from the skyhawk. A little noisy but cost effective.

Easy to install into my amcrest dvrs. It records 2 cameras and 1 doorbell without issues. This drive fits into my dm se, and is plenty of room for just a few cameras.

Cons

Trying to rma the drive has been a horrible experience. Get the same popup. Lasted less than 3 months.

No receipt. Even though i sent them a delivery confirmation from the shipping company they claim they didn't get the hard disk. Terrible quality control these days on seagate hdds.

I currently have a hf cobra surveillance system with 1tb 7 cameras, records about 3 days before overwrite.

I figure it will take six months before my nas starts deleting the oldest files to make way for the new.

Initially, i bought two of these to replace hard drives in to dvrs that run all the time at businesses.

I have a few other seagate models and they never failed me.
