Pros

Seagate 4tb now records 12 days. Easy to install into my amcrest dvrs. Tb, it takes about 5 min to format. I have this drive in my swann system, purchasing it after the original hdd failed.

Only downside is it was about 7. Wide. They both want to control it all and exclude others. Well packaged and protected for shipment.

Cons

The warranty is a joke and outsourced. Don't bother with doing the right thing and dealing with the manufacture.

This drive is waaaaay faster to load recordings (the old one would take 15-30 seconds just to playback a clip).

Probably the most overkill i will ever go for simply storing nvr data.

Right now and for workhorse needs, this is a nice and reasonably-cost solution.

I went with this seagate because it was affordable.

Purchased 2 more in 02/2023 on sale $299 to expand the video recording system storage capacity and to add raid redundancy.

Came right on time, i would recommend this drive
