Pros

Seagate is a trusted name and solid hd. Purchased 2 more in 02/2023 on sale $299 to expand the video recording system storage capacity and to add raid redundancy.

I have this drive in my swann system, purchasing it after the original hdd failed. Only downside is it was about 7.

Easy to install into my amcrest dvrs. Plugged right into my amcrest nvr. Great capacity before rewrite loop starts.

The drive is quiet and has worked flawless.

Cons

When you purchase a 6tb hard drive it needs to format at 6tb. The real issue is on my pc it only shows as having 95mb of free space, for a supposed 2 tb hdd. Box was also partially crushed. Only lasted little over 2 months.

The warranty is a joke and outsourced. It's an inconvenience to remove this from my nvr and have to return it.

Bought this for my oossxx camera system as they put a regular hard drive in it that went out after less than a year.

This drive is waaaaay faster to load recordings (the old one would take 15-30 seconds just to playback a clip).
