Easy to install into my amcrest dvrs. Plugged right into my amcrest nvr. Great capacity before rewrite loop starts.

Cons

Customer service is worthless. When you purchase a 6tb hard drive it needs to format at 6tb. The real issue is on my pc it only shows as having 95mb of free space, for a supposed 2 tb hdd.

The warranty is a joke and outsourced. Get the same popup. No receipt. I suggest anyone that gets these doa units, just send back via amazon and let them fight with seagate over money.

Great product used in night owl home security system went from 2tb now i’m running 6tb plenty of storage

This drive is waaaaay faster to load recordings (the old one would take 15-30 seconds just to playback a clip).

Probably the most overkill i will ever go for simply storing nvr data.

New original item with a great price.

Right now and for workhorse needs, this is a nice and reasonably-cost solution.

I went with this seagate because it was affordable.

Purchased 2 more in 02/2023 on sale $299 to expand the video recording system storage capacity and to add raid redundancy.

The third party seller shipped fast so no complaints.

Came right on time, i would recommend this drive
