Cons

Seagate 5200 with cache is not as fast as i would have hoped it to be. Seagate provides no utilities to see what the drive is caching and no way to keep files in the cache. Do not buy this ssd/hd. Go for a ssd instead.

This hard drive is a disaster. After a 2/3 months it slows right down and eventually causes pc to hang. Running diagnostics shows that there are data errors. Noticed that there were issues, repaired disk but days later total death.

Customer support mislead me into thinking a refund was possible before abandoning the case. Feels more like amazon is deceitful and covering the seller.

This is a well-made item at a very reasonable price.

I would definitely recommend purchasing one of these drives if you are looking for a cheap sshd.

I therefore tried this cheaper sshd hybrid technology which has been around for a while now.

This was bought to replace another 500gb disc of another brand that was throwing up random read / write errors after about a year's use.
