Seagate's warranty expired 2 years before i bought it. Was a dud. Sent back for a refund.

It is a bit of mystery exactly why that is happening but it seems to be to do with the external usb enclosure i was using.
Price
I know storage is getting cheap, but this is a good drive with a good rpm and is at a very attractive cost.

However one of the things ive had trouble with using another make of hdd a wd also specified as an af type is for cloning an existing windows os on an older hdd

Theres some sort of usb incompatibility as the problem is resolved if you connect it up internally via sata

Used this in my home cctv security system fitted it and it was plugplay so not setting up
