Along with many other reviewers i found the packaging of this disk to be barely adequate the disk was wrapped in a layer of bubble wrap and placed in a cardboard box with the brand name optimum packaging which it certainly wasnt in this case

As to the disk its standard seagate fare its mostly quite in operation with the overriding noise being a mains harmonic hum and it seems reasonably fast to very fast depending on what its doing and most likely whether the cache contains the next data it is asked for
