Ive been using it to wirelessly stream to our bluray player and most of the time that works fine but it tends to choke up and stall on anything particularly hd

Itd probably be better for that purpose if either this drive or the player supported 5ghz speeds but alas i know for a fact at least one of them doesnt

In any case it works solidly to stream anything dvd resolution and if you set things up right you have a nice little homebrew local netflix solution with your own media files

Setup was a little weird at first but not exactly what id call difficult the app is

Theres a few third party video apps for ios thatll pull from this so look for those and keep your video formats something that will play on whatever device you use most obviously
