For those using mac computers, it is important that you download the paragon driver for mac os on seagate's website before you do anything to the disk. No silly program or interface between your computer and this drive.
Cons
In anutshell - this is terrible. Buyer beware. There was no point within months of intermittent wifi using the drive was painful.
This is unacceptable as i purchased a brand new unit not a refurb. Returned it for another. I want to throw it at the wall and watch it smash into a million pieces.
The necessity to use precious brain power to remember this month's operational puzzle is a waste of time and energy.
It seems to recharge but it just never lets me connect wirelessly. Even using a linux live instance will not detect or read the drive.

Yes samsung devices work better to pair on wifi then motorola but i also used a rav filehubhootoo 10 wifi router to plug usb directly when the seagate app got stuck in a database library rebuild because i had over 1k filenames crammed in one folder which is a nono

You must delegate files to the topmost tierlayer or the device will slow down immensely if you remember old opera browser cloud

Restarts and essential database library rebuilds take time its a huge filename list to catalog and needs updated to be accurate refresh wont do it

Itd probably be better for that purpose if either this drive or the player supported 5ghz speeds but alas i know for a fact at least one of them doesnt
