That said the duct was really not all that dirty perhaps given its a short and totally straight run

The dryer on the other hand was pretty dirty i took the front panel off and probably spent an hour and a half cleaning all the stuck lint out everywhere including in and around the heating element

Inside the dryer with backed up lint is primarily where the fires start so its good to get that panel off and give it a good cleaning at least once a year
