Instead of plugging into the base theres a short cable that plugs into the wiring harness

One side of the fog light plug has a little tab that locks onto the clip of the wiring harness make sure it locks into place

After its plugged in just reinsert it into the fog light housing by lining up the tabs with the top and bottom slots then gently rocking it from top to bottom until it latches in place
