Pros

Received this watch 2 weeks earlier than projected. Bremont, bulova, swatch and a single digital watch for my running and hiking - garmin titanium/sapphire fenix 5 plus. This watch is a stunner.

Love the face and the compass feature. It looks awesome against my husband's golden arm hair and freckles. The illumination of the dial and hands looks great in the dark.

I have a great fondness for seiko and this one doesn't disappoint. My experience with the seller and delivery is over the top!

Nothing not to like about this timepiece. There are watch snobs that think a quality watch has to be swiss made.

The strap is much softer than the original seiko strap and seems to suit the intended purpose much better. The deployant clasp works great. I am very pleased with the upgraded bracelet.

Initially had some reservations since this watch is priced below four figures unlike the other watches in my collection.

Folks, this watch came from tokyo japan, cleared customs and was out for delivery on 7-1.

Premium japan got the order on 6-28 and i missed the ferex driver for sig yesterday 7-1.

The vender was prompt less time than i expected.

I ordered this on saturday and it arrived today, tuesday from japan.

Packaging/appearance

The packaging was first rate and everything arrived in show room unopened condition.

All concerns were alleviated the moment i opened the box - what a beautiful green dial with gold-plated indices.

Looks far better in person than in photos.

Competitiveness

I bought this because it was a limited edition japan model and the price was the best i had seen less than the usual $725+ a great value.

One could argue that the roots extend back further to the original laurel sub-brand of 1913.

This will be giving my grand seiko automatic some serious competition for wrist time even though its in a different pricing point.
