My particular device, as i examine it after about 40 hours of use, has exactly three dead pixels (one in the blue range, and two in the red to nir (near infrared) range; each dead zone is only 1 nm in width, and the dead pixels do not affect the quality or the readability of the display charts at all.  Read Less
