Exactly what i needed at a good price

Well worth the price for what you get.

Now if only the price of the replacement foam pads would drop to a reasonable price !

Packaging/appearance

The packaging indicates that it is a genuine sennheiser item and i have no reason to suspect otherwise.

I encountered the intermittent sound also and found that occasional cleaning of the prongs with isopropyl alcohol cured the problem.

Competitiveness

Fits my hd600, and is thicker than the original hd600 cable: the bass extension does seem to be improved by this cable.

Better than the hd600 cable that comes with them.

Doesen't sound as nice as the custom cable i built out of a cat7 patch cable, but that thing wasn't practical at all.

35mm only, whereas the original hd600 one was 3.
