Pros

For those who want a punchy sound out of the box, this fits the bill. The eq curved pre-tuned in its specs is what we have to most kick mics at the console.

Quality

First time with a sennheiser product and i am very pleased with the sound quality of this mic on my kick drum!

I use this one every time now, clearly a difference in cleaner lows, punchy, responsive, overall sound.

I ran it into a pro mpa preamp and then to a compressor but skipped the eq on my rack and went straight into my multitrack.

Thos mic works very well with a bass amp or on your floor tom, but it really shines with your bass drum.

Price

Great bass drum mic at a great price.

I purchased this from a different on line seller as it basically was free considering the discount i got from them for purchasing my new p.

Hard to beat for the price if you are doing rock/metal.

I thought it would be out of my price range and was shocked to see how affordable it is.

Competitiveness

I think that it compares very favorably to the shure at almost 1/2 the price.

I reviewed many youtube videos of kick drum mic comparison reviews and it came down to the sennheiser e602 and the shure beta 52a.

Made in germany and priced below mics with similar capabilities.

Compared to audix d6 they have a little more high end frequencies and i'd say the bottom end is similar.
