Pros

Great mic for drums (especially useful is the removable clamp) high spl capability allows it to be stand-mounted and used to mic trumpet, sax, and *. Never a problem or failure.

Great mic- i got it for live recordings but it would be good in the studio as a bottom snare mic, especially with the drum rim mount.

Works well, but no better than sure 57.

Competitiveness

In my opinion, this mic isolates the drum sound far better than say an sm57 or audix d series.
