This is a solid, durable, and great sounding mic.
There is a good feel to the mike, strongly made, and the sound is powerful and clear, a very good mike and i bought another one.
This thing is built like a tank.
I plug this mic into my audio interface for home recording and zoom calls that require better audio quality.
Price
For the price, it's definitely the best bang for the buck.
Competitiveness
The shure sm58 is made in mexico whereas this is made in germany.
Not sure you would get much more out of the more expensive model as this preforms very well.
I much prefer the sound of the e835 over a shure 58, and caught this one on a great sale price.

Opening it up reveals why the german mics are still being built with 1950 technology as if it works well dont change it

Ive used both the sure sm58 and the sennheiser e835 for professional stage and studio work for many years
