Pros

Headphones are very comfortable to use for hours at a time. Earcups are large and deep enough that they don't crimp my earlobes. The padding for the ear is still like it's brand new. The headband never gets hot for me, it's just as comfy.

The audio is still super accurate, incredible bass, perfect reproduction. The sound is clean and they do not over-emphasize bass. Very crisp quality and noise cancelling is par.

These headphones are a steal at $100. They sound good out of the box, but using them with reference 4, it really adds some of that mids punch these normally don't have. They're also great for mixing and producing, especially if you're on a budget.

Cons

An ugly example of engineered-in * obsolescence. To have someone pay $100 for not even a fifth of the longevity is embarrassing. But they objectively feel very cheap.

There is zero low end, and the high is so shrill and piercing that it will literally hurt to listen to these for too long even on low volume. You can get these to sound great if you buy $200 more audio equipment to plug it into but i'm not interested.... Read More

Sennheiser contacted customer service and was given the run around. Got headphones back in about 3 weeks, hooked them up and exact same issue, nothing was fixed. On top of that, the customer service number on the company website is disconnected.

These are really great headphones for under $100.

What they do provide is excellent value for the money.

Granted, they will never sound like a set of meze elite aluminum headphones, but they also don't cost $4k.

I absolutely cannot express how thankful i am to find a pair of affordable headphones that actualy fit.

Competitiveness

The ear cups are also small, so if you frequently draw comparisons to dumbo, these may not be for you.

Unlike many competitors, that put over emphasis on either bass or upper frequencies, that eventually fatigue your ears.

They compliment the hd 280 pro's even more.
