Pros & Cons
Pros
Well built and really comfy. Got enough detail and clarity to satisfy yet not so much as be tiresome. My favorite part of wearing these rather than a headset is that they don’t press down on the top of my head and create a dip in my skull.
Sennheiser earbuds are 'neutral sound transducers' meaning they reproduce the recorded sound just as it was recorded. You can also use eq, if you have the capability, to tailor the frequency response to your taste. They are not noise cancelling, but t... Read More
The cable is a really thin but tough and non-tangly design. It's really nice and unique and super light weight. While the ie300 is disappointing, the ie200 is much better and a real bargain at half the price!
Cons
The silicon ear tips are very thin and do not seal well into my ears. The worst part about the cable is because of how the iem is designed at the connector point. The notch on the nozzle creates bass leakage even when using aftermarket tips. The trebl... Read More
The bass of this iem is not very dynamic. Instruments sound in the mid-range, except they are extremely colored by the treble.
Highlights
Quality
Super low profile in-ear headphones, solid sound quality with a lot of different ear tips that change it very slightly.
Good accurate sound, sounds great without dac.
I generally hate earbuds because they are uncomfortable, too big, won't stay in my ear.
This blows all of them out of the water.
Price
So, swap the eartips for anything other than their eartips and get a new cord and these are still amazing for the price!
Adjust the eq and you got a very good deal, they’re quite precise, if you bump up whatever frequencies you want i’ll still have... Read More
Yes, you are paying a premium for the sennheiser name, and its not a "chi-fi" iem so thats something i'm willing to pay extra for.
At the price, you won’t go wrong.
Shipping
I haven't got the hang of getting them into my ears quickly yet, but when i do finally seat them correctly, they sound very good.
Competitiveness
I can tell the difference between my iphone 12 pro max, ipod classic 6th gen, and ipod classic 5th gen.
The sound quality is great compared to other in-ears i have tried, and i'm looking forward to using them in a live stage setting.
I’ve had many of apples offerings, beats, skullcandy, and kst to name a few.
I have other iems with multiple drivers, but this sounds so cohesive that you would think you don’t need more drivers.
