This mic is phenomenal! When the camera is steady and pointed at the subject it picks up very clear audio in the direction it is facing. Only problem is when using the dead cat the mic sometimes becomes visible when do big fast movements.

Sennheiser mke400 mono shotgun microphone. Mini blimp design is just so much better in the way it works and looks. Stereo sound is much more emersive than a shotgun. Has a headphone monitoring jack.
Cons
Great mic with unmatched sound quality when it worked, but horrible build quality it seems. Returned it under warranty.

Much better sound quality vs using on camera mic.
Been using the microphone for a few months and have had mostly great experiences with it.
There’s much less frustration about shots with silent audio because the mic was plugged in but off!
(still picks up noise though so you will need to edit sound in post processing)
Price
Not honestly a big deal but i was a little disappointed that it captured audio where i couldn't see where it could possibly come from.
Some might go for cheaper mics but this is worth it in the long run.

Only once have i gotten unwanted audio on the low pass filter being 34active

Other then that it picks up jitters when moving the camera around and the cord moving around on top of the camera body
