Sound Clarity
Customers have mixed opinions on the Sennheiser MKE 600 Shotgun Microphone's sound clarity. While some are impressed by its ability to capture clear and professional audio, others find it slightly tinny and in need of tweaking for optimal results. The microphone is well-built, lightweight, and suitable for indoor and outdoor use, but may not be the best choice for recording in noisy environments or at a distance.
Highlights
Quality
Sturdy build and great for outdoor shoots.
The sound quality of this thing is amazing and has definitely upped the game for me!
Besides endless graphics, audio tracks and html pages, that meant shooting dozens of videos demonstrating music techniques.
My omnidirectional tascam stereo mic sounded good tonally, but picked up too much noise from the street.
Price
Great value, especially for filming on the go, and it comes with a little carry bag, 2 cables and a "dead cat" windscreen.
This one won out because of the price-quality ratio.
Competitiveness
It was a tough call between this mic, the rode videomic go ii and the more expensive sennheiser mke 400.
The mke 600 is in my opinion the best in its class.
I much prefer the "all-in-one" set up of the built-in shock mount than what you get with the rode.
