Very well made and really works well for people with hearing loss
The sound is exceptional and battery life very good.
The sennheiser set840-rf stereo tv assistive listening headphones system is everything the good ratings have stated previous to my review.
I've been hearing impaired for many years, even before closed captioning came along (that was really frustrating).
Price
A little expensive but am still on my first pair so worth every dime.
00 buying through amazon over from sennheiser factory.
The first headset was $250 and the latest one was $400.
This product is expensive but worth it.
Packaging/appearance
After having tried to buy replacement parts and failed, it was so comforting to open a package and after charging, have it work perfectly!
Competitiveness
Have had tv ears and they do not compare to this sennheiser.
Unfortunately, senheiser does not make this exact model anymore.
You can't beat the quality of sennheiser.

My 97 year old fatherinlaw who is extremely hard of hearing would turn the tv volume to 40 we normally set it to 12

My father worked on the railroad for 30 years and at that time no hearing protection was ever used
