I took a chance with this minor modification and couldn't be happier with the final quality and value of this safe!

    Overall product is great one issue i have found is that the battery compartment feels cheap and plasticy causing loose contact and because this is in the safe keypad won’t work when this happens

    Unfortunately there is a significant gap between the battery tray and lid so closing the heavy safe door can dislodge the batteries and disconnect the circuit rendering the electronic keypad unusable and you will need to use the backup key to manually open the safe
