The hangers themselves are very durable as noted by many of the other reviewersthe metal hook is strong and sturdy and doesnt bend with heavy canadian winter coats nor does the actual wooden hanger

I love that i can hang my sweaters on these without worrying theyd lose their shape especially around the shoulders area i was quite worried as ive ruined sweaters in the past with regular plastic hangers lesson learnedthe bottom of these hangers span approx 16 inches
