Having a cord that poked out straight from the outlet instead of going down at a right angle was also a major inconvenience

But it would be impossible to use this in the top outlet of a duplex receptacle without covering the bottom outlet

The replacement didnt have the same clearance that the original had so the placement outlet caused the plug to push the tv out a bit

It is incredibly frustrating however that these tv manufacturers are not providing all of their power cords with this rightanglelow profile feature

The original plug worked fine with the standard base but when moved to a new articulating base it did not fit so we needed this cable instead
