It is quite powerful in * up dirt and the quality and name serves well. Its excellent for under furniture and stairs. Only main downside is the short hose length.
The suction power on this thing is outrageous. I have a gsd who sheds constantly and every day it fills up. Lightweight, great suction, brilliant for pet hairs.

Really happy with my new hoover, much better suction than the smaller model
Separating it to do the stairs is a doddle, still heavy though.

It is too bulky and heavy for the stairs but luckily it reduces in size as it clips off the main body reducing it to the collection bin and an attachment
