Pros

Great value for the money. Larger canister is a big plus in my book. Year lifetimes on the miele really appealed to me. Also one perk with the nv70 is that it's made in vietnam. Glad to have it replace the rotator.

Cons

The only thing it seems to work well on are low ply rugs. Didn’t matter the size of the crumbs or legos. It keeps stopping on my thicker carpet.

The shark is the heaviest, hardest to push around vacuum i have ever used. It sounds like a jumbo jet. When they are more lightweight, they constantly tip over.

I am unsure, but it was frustrating to say the least.

The hose connects toon constantly gets jammed with hair. Requires constantly detaching canister and manually pulling the hair out of the hose. The hose is too short and requires you to stoop down to use it.

Also one perk with the nv70 is that it's made in vietnam, i try to avoid chinese crap at all costs these days if i can.

I am very pleased with my second shark vacuum purchase :).

Price

I bought this new one because it was on sale for a great price.

Bags alone at $65 a year cost $1400 for 2 decades.

Packaging/appearance

My only down side i bought it used in original packaging but i did not get both attachments.

My mother lovedhated that dyson for about 6 years before replacing it with a shark she grew to hate maneuvering the dyson and i could see her jealousy of seeing how easy my shark was to vacuum with

That shark lasted us about 5 years before my other half decided to clean the hoses with soapy water which resulted in a horrible mildew smell that despite our best efforts was not dissipating it was retired to the garage where it still runs well as a car vacuum

I replaced my shark navigator with a shark rotator duoclean that was just a little over 300

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

I was pretty disgusted with shark after spending more than 300 on a vacuum and to have it left useless over what should have been an easy replacement part and it had me looking at other brands

The 20 year lifetimes on the miele really appealed to me i have no problem paying for quality these days but i’m not a big fan of just paying more for a flashy name

At 43 i have noticed i have an awesome 6th sense of knowing if something is going to be underwhelming i notice it when i’m endlessly still doing research after 2 weeks and still not buying the item entertaining my thoughts as was the case with the miele

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

The upright miele’s from research i can tell you made those definitely not a consideration for me
