The detachable, handheld wand is just as powerful as the main vaccuum. The swivel head is amazing for navigating around the house, and it takes the strain off of my body.
The powerfin blades are amazing. The convenience of not having to plug in a heavy vacuum everytime you need one is invaluable. With the 5 year warranty and the 2 year battery warranty, the $200 price tag is a good value in the shark series line.
Cons
Suction is mediocre at best. This vacuum has problems with the smallest debris on the floor. After picking up enough hair the opening at the end of the brush head becomes clogged.
The design is clunky, you’re better off getting a quality machine. It is especially poor when the cost is factored in. The reason it takes so long to charge is because shark incorporated a ridiculously slow rate.

The small wheels on the underside of the floor attachment catch hair and dust around the axle, not allowing the wheels to spin.
Cat hair , leaves (not the large ones), grass clippings, my hair and not get clogged or wrapped up.

It's so carefully and intelligently packaged, everything kept safe and compact while using zero plastic or styrofoam.
I have to mention that the packaging this vacuum comes in really ought to win some kind of award.
Competitiveness
We bought this to replace a dyson and are so glad we made the switch to shark.
I found it far superior to the dyson.
For the price, i consider this superior to the dyson animal.

Only had it for a couple of days but it zips around on hardwood as well as on carpet and picks up dog hair which is very important to me

I did not get the crevice tool that was supposed to come with it so i had to call the company and they were very willing to just send it to me separately

It’s a reasonable size so she can go after the endless shedding of her dog her wool area rugs that drift onto the hardwood

This does work on carpet but our very sheddy wool rugs choke it quickly so for that i break out the heavier dyson v15 while she tends to the hardwood with her shark
