However its easy enough to get smart functionality by connecting a thirdparty device such as an amazon firetv stick or a chromecast

In my experience of smart tvs anyway third party devices like those mentioned often produce better results than tvs that try to do everything themselves and swiftly become outdated

However bear in mind that the tv only has one tuner so you cant record a programme on one channel while watching something else on another

One small gripe is that with the freestanding version you just get two cheaplooking plastic legs to support the screen which you have to screw on yourself
