The newer version is dramatically brighter than the older ones. Like dang dude it's like daylight all night! Here is an easy and free way to darken the bright display if it is too bright for you.

The only drawback to these clocks is that they do not last nearly as long as they should. I have a digital alarm clock bought from a local drugstore 26 years ago that is still going strong with no problems. But really could use a dimmer switch.

The clock itself is very nice with a large display, small footprint and easy to use controls. The alarm is loud enough and i do like that. Looks really nice next to my pvr which also has a blue display.

Clock runs fast enough that i have to reset it every other week. They have very vague and sloppy positions so if you think you have turned off the alarm you probably haven't.

This is a poorly designed hunk of junk that is wasn't even worth taking it back for a refund because it would cost more in fuel than it actually cost. In addition after owning it for just over a year it's broken. That's not a warranty that's a rip off...  Read More
