If you do not and insert the new refill into your pen it will fall short and will not work properly

These refills are great except that for some weird reason they are almost too short to fit in the metal pens

I don’t get why the plastic pens wouldn’t use the same size refills but they don’t

This is especially annoying because the plastic pens are not refillable

They work fine but the tip doesn’t stick very far out the end of the pen so it is slightly awkward
