Pros & Cons
Pros
Product was promptly shipped and received as advertised. Fairly happy, reasonably quick install. Very easy to install.
Very sturdy, well built, great for taking off some sag burden from the hinges. It does a great job keeping stress off of the post so it doesn't start to lean.
Cons
The design leaves me very depressed and hopeless. Boo amazon, boo.
Don't be fooled by heavy duty. The spring takes les then 5 pounds of pressure before bottoming out. Spring is weak.
All the while i walk through a gate which progressively gets more crooked with every use. When it turns inward it rubs against the surface it's mounted on.
Highlights
Quality
Extremely sturdy works perfectly and smoothly even on rough terrain.
Solid, heavy duty, works on wood deck and dirt floors.
Has a solid spring tension and even load it up to the max wheel still rolls freely.
My wooden gate has not sagged and slider locks locks every time.
Price
Saved a few bucks vs buying at home depot
I was looking for an affordable gate wheel that was solid (and didn't use a pneumatic tire).
Was same product as box store but a lot less pricey.
Competitiveness
Great price compared to lowe’s/home depot; the same quality!

But if i could start over on my install id probably try using a cclamp or something to test hold this to my gate so i could see how much sag i would get in the spring and then compensate for the needed placement accordingly before drilling the bolt holes

I ended up placing this too high up on my gate frame and the sag in the spring dropped it back down way past where i wanted it

I ended up having to put a spacer on top of the spring to get the tension back to where i needed it to be
