This one does not have a cage that opens up so you have to break the chain to put it on

I needed this to match the cablepull ratio of the shifters road bike and mountain bike front shifting systems do not share the same cablepull ratio and i needed the ratio to match since my shifters were indexed shifting only

I dont like using shims to make things fit but at least the shims are designed to fit the clamp and they are included with the derailleur

There is also no fine adjustment such as a barrel adjuster on the cable tension so i added an inline barrel adjuster from jagwire to the front shift cable which made dialing in the front shifting much easier
