Pros

This things is sooo nice. Just have to dial it in. While not perfect, this reel is a welcomed addition to my collection.

If you're not choosing between the slx and the curado and just choosing between dc and anything else then dc brakes is a no brainer. I'm not sure if there is there's any company that has a better brake design than shimano and their dc brakes.

Cons

The dc noise is annoying. Suspecting this was made in malaysia. Blew the drag out on third trip trying to pull a bass from the grass.

Love this reel it’s smooth and i hardly backlash 🤙🏽

Had my eye on this for a while, and finally bit the bullet and bought the 151 dchg, (left crank, 7:4.

It will skip a jig across the water and under a dock on setting 4.

Price

Great reel for the price and you get everything you pay for.

This reel is the best by far for the money that i have ever bought in a bait cast reel.

I’m not one to dislike anything that i spend this kind of money on.

I spent the extra $60 to see if it's even worth it.

Competitiveness

I'm not sure if there is there's any company that has a better brake design than shimano and their dc brakes.

I haven’t tried any other line than flourocarbon, so i can’t speak on the setting adjustments for the type of line.
